moment in time, when you might be surprised by the depth of your commitment

when childhood wounds of one kind or another could surface. If they do, it

You are storing up your energy right now, Pisces, like a slingshot pulling
back. This is a truly spiritual and very much internal period of time for you,
that’s sure, but one that also represents a springboard for success in
many ways, not the least a better feeling of inner self-sufficiency. Re-thinking
your priorities over the past few weeks has been an interesting exercise, and
one that is about to pay off. Your good fortune lies with the peace you make
within yourself and with the faith with which you plan for future breakthrough,
starting with the last week of this current month.
As the month begins, you are likely to be feeling somewhat internal and perhaps
almost reclusive. This is because the powerful Solar Eclipse from the last
week of January took place in your sector of dream imagination. You are focused
with a large part of your psyche on the unconscious process that underlies
most of what we say and do, rather than on the sunny horizontal interactions

energy takes you to the inside and also emphasizes the limitations and the
hardships of the physical plane, which serve as a sounding board and a foil
for the limitlessness of the vast wide open spaces within you. Mediating between

manifestations, including the less savory.
It is possible that at this juncture you will feel the pain of separation from
this cosmic consciousness that you hold inside yourself, and from being brought

Saturn and its opposition to Uranus,
along with Chiron in Aquarius and
also with the personal planets:
Mercury, Venus and Mars. Two eclipses
complete the picture, counting
the late January Solar Eclipse
that began the current cycle and
the powerful Full Moon and Lunar
Eclipse of the 9th.
Mercury is just coming out of retrograde as the month begins, and will take
another few weeks to truly stabilize. We might expect a degree of introspection,
missed connections and mechanical breakdowns to continue to be the norm until
at least mid-month. Mars is now newly in Aquarius, as of the 4th, and moving
into conjunction with the positive vibes and expansionist energy of Jupiter
by mid-month. Mars with Jupiter makes for an exciting time, when anything seems
possible and when our gambling nature rises to the surface, countering the
conservative tendencies of Saturn, also firmly in the picture at this time.
Late February therefore represents a tug of war between expansionist and reactionary
tendencies. Not only the energies of Jupiter and Saturn are poised as polarities,
but the equally antithetical archetypes of Uranus and Saturn and as well Neptune
and Saturn, presage a time period that along with its streak of wild optimism
and starry-eyed idealism, has its myriad difficulties also in allowing that
optimistic assessment to come to pass. This is the essence of the human condition
and we will see its manifestation clearly in our individual lives as well as
in the drama concurrently being played out on the national stage.
Venus is also extremely active this month, as she enters Mars' own sign of
Aries on the 2nd, in tune with the First Quarter Moon, and where she sextiles
Mars for the first three weeks of February. Venus remains in Aries, or within
one degree, for an amazing 12 weeks as she moves all the way back to the very
beginning of the sign, briefly dipping back into Pisces, before straightening
out in April and entering Taurus on June 6th. Venus slows during the later
part of February to as she prepares to make her retrograde station in the first
week of March, and relationship energy correspondingly slows and becomes more
purposeful. Next month she will disappear as the Evening Star around the time
of the Spring Equinox, on March 20th, to reappear as the Morning Star with
her Heliacal Rise on April 3rd. This period of time before reappearing as the
Morning Star was known to Mayan astrologers as Venus' symbolic descent into
the underworld, and affairs on earth assumed a reckless and ungoverned aspect
during this time. This coincides with the approaching end of President Obama's
first 100 days in office, and this period may well bring surprises and disappointments
along with hoped-for progress. This only makes sense as we as a nation still
have a lot of work to do, and many missteps to set right, before we can hold
our own with a changing world society.
The Full Moon Eclipse of Tuesday, February 9th conjuncts and opposes Chiron,
as well as Neptune, and we may find that some aspect of our childhood wounded
nature comes up at this time for healing. We will likely feel uneasy with the
outer world and more at home in the nonphysical at this time. On a more positive
and socially active note, the Aquarius line-up at the time of the Lunar Eclipse
is quite impressive, and tilts the astrological energy toward friendly interaction
of all kinds, while maintaining a strong concept of individual self-hood into
the bargain. This might be a difficult time for business as usual as the economy
takes further tumbles, but it is a great time for interpersonal relationships
and group dynamics, so that pulling together has never been more necessary,
or more fun.

January 25th Solar Eclipse New Moon
This powerful New Moon takes place in the late night hours of Saturday and
the early hours of Sunday morning, depending on location, and in addition conjuncts
Jupiter in the early degrees of Aquarius while Jupiter aspects Uranus. There
is a powerful Aquarius line-up involving also Mars and the North Node as well
as Chiron and Neptune. This signals a period of time when the trickster energy
and the scientific viewpoint of this somewhat detached sign hold sway. The
eclipse hits a specific area of your chart and its energy will be felt for
many months.
February 2nd First Quarter Moon
First Quarter Moon of Monday, February 2nd. The Sun and Moon in square could
bring up tensions and represent the first awareness of the difficulties that
are inherent in the process from New Moon to Full.
February 9th Lunar Eclipse Full Moon
Full Moon Lunar Eclipse of Monday, February 9th. The Sun is conjunct both Chiron
and Neptune, and parallel Neptune, while the eclipsed Moon is contra-parallel
Neptune. Chiron – Neptune brings the archetype of the Wounded Healer
together with the complex Neptunian archetype of multi-dimensional reality,
illusion, and confusion with the physical plane. This can be read as the pain
of separation from the divine, and the necessity for forging your unique path
to transcendence. It is a chime for natural religion, apart from any institutionalized
concept, and for finding one's own way home. Meditation practice will prove
to be especially powerful at this time. It is also an extremely propitious
time for tuning in with yourself in terms of childhood wounds that may have
been suppressed for years due to their traumatic nature. If you can find a
safe place inside for digging into these dark realms and unlocking these difficult
and perhaps painful secrets, you will be well rewarded.
February 12th Mars Reaches the Eclipse Degree
Mars reaches the eclipse degree on February 12th. This is a time when the issues
that came up and were dealt with in one way at the beginning of the cycle,
in late January, will be revisited. Actions may be taken at this time that
parallel and in some way underscore actions taken then, based on the information
gained, and the wisdom learned, since that initial beginning.
February 16th Last Quarter Moon
Last Quarter Moon of Monday, February 16th. This is traditionally the "crisis
of consciousness" reached when reviewing which of the impulses from the
time of the New Moon were truly viable. This is a particularly powerful configuration,
with Mars exactly conjunct Jupiter and the North Node. Mars also sextiles Venus
in Aries, and this is therefore a time for recognizing the importance of right
relationship.
February 24th New Moon
New Moon of Tuesday, February 24th. The Pisces New Moon represents a fresh
start in a new sign, but with the Aquarius line-up from the last New Moon still
very prominent. In a way this New Moon will be partly looking backward to the
previous one which was so powerful, and in true Pisces fashion, have a foot
both in and out of the physical world. This will be however a time of breakthrough,
when the thoughts and reflections over the past four week cycle translate into
spiritually motivated action.
